One year of great corn hybrids leads to another
In 2009, Prairie Brand Seed corn earned its way onto more growers’ fields through strong performance of our traits and genetics. The measures we will use to test and refine these hybrids throughout 2010 include:
Expanded Prairie Elite Testing (P.E.T.), which will allow us to evaluate data from more than 40 research locations across six states to make recommendations for the corn hybrids that will boost your yields. Also through P.E.T. we will continue to evaluate superior genetics with trait packages that outperform competing brands. Through this process 12 new hybrids have been added to bolster an already strong portfolio of products.
Your support is appreciated and we look forward to accelerating your yields for 2010.

Roundup Ready 2 Yield® and You
Since the 1950s, when the U.S. first took the leadership reins in soybean production, growers have focused on planting genetics that achieve higher average yields each year. And you would be hard-pressed to find a company that provides higher-yielding genetics than Prairie Brand.
For 2010 planting, Prairie Brand is releasing 25 new Roundup Ready 2 Yield® (RR2Y) soybean products. In recent years, new technology has been the driver of increases in corn yields. Now, with RR2Y, the stage is set for accelerated soybean yields.
Consider:
— RR2Y soybean products are poised to unleash a major yield boost for growers in 2010.
— Four years of research shows the RR2Y trait boosts yield potential by over 7-percent higher than the original RR trait.
— As growers make 2010 seed-buying decisions, they should factor in the yield potential RR2Y brings to the table.
Prairie Brand is committed to the success of its grower customers, and in 2010 we’re expanding our Prairie Elite Testing (P.E.T.) program to further evaluate and improve the soybean products that will bring you maximum profitability every year.
Our ability to access a wide range of soybean germplasm options allows us to find the very best high-yielding products for our customers’ individual growing conditions.
We value your feedback, and I welcome you to email your questions or comments to me.
